What I collect, and what I don't.

Analytics

No analytics run on this site unless you choose otherwise.

Google Analytics is switched off by default. It only loads if you accept it on the cookie banner. If you do, it sets cookies and gives me a picture of how people use the site. If you decline, or ignore the banner, it stays off and no analytics cookies are set.

I do not currently use Cloudflare Web Analytics or any other cookieless pageview beacon in the HTML. If that changes, this page will be updated.

Cookies

The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics ones, and only after you accept them. Decline and there are none. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage so you're not asked every visit.

Changed your mind? Use the button below to reset your choice. The banner will reappear so you can decide again.

The contact form

If you message me through the form, your name, email and message are sent to my private inbox so I can reply. That's it. I don't add you to a mailing list and I don't pass your details to anyone else.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address is stored by Resend, the service I use to send emails, and used only to send you my essays. I won't pass it to anyone else or use it for anything else. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out any time.

Your rights and getting in touch

You can ask me what I hold about you, or ask me to delete it, any time. The honest answer is usually "not much". Reach me through thecontact form or onLinkedIn.
